Security Forces in Jaffna have decided to tighten security for devotees attending the annual festival of St. Anthony’s Church on Kachchathivu Island, which is scheduled to be held on March 14 and 15.
It is expected that this year, around 100,000 Sri Lankan and Indian devotees are expected to participate in the annual Kachchathivu festival.
The Navy and the committee appointed by the Kachchathivu festival have taken steps to provide all the necessary facilities, including food and drinks, for these devotees.
This time, it is noteworthy that the Shivaganga Ferry Service has come forward to provide special transportation facilities for the convenience of devotees coming to the Kachchathivu Island from India.
