A teenage School girl was abducted in broad daylight on the street in Gelioya, Sri Lanka on Saturday and the abduction was captured on CCTV.
CCTV footage showed a van slowing down as the 18-year-old girl in uniform and another girl were walking towards the vehicle. Suddenly a man steps out of the van and drags the girls inside.
The other girl flees but another man on the street is then seen running towards the van and attempting to save the girl.
According to reports, the attempt to save the girl was not successful and there was no sign of the girl or the man who attempted to save her.
The van used in the abduction was later found abandoned in Polonaruwa. The Police suspected that the girl was abducted by a relative.
